Introductory paragliding flight with an instructor at the Chegem paragliding site

It takes 15 minutes to prepare for the flight.

The passenger is fitted with a jumpsuit, helmet, and harness. Both the passenger and the pilot are securely attached to the paraglider using special carabiners and suspension lines. A pre-flight briefing is conducted. Then comes a short run-up—literally just a few steps—and the crew is already in the air! The instructor controls the paraglider during flight, while the passenger enjoys the ride in a comfortable harness. The passenger’s hands are free, allowing them to take photos and videos.

The Chegem Paragliding Site is a unique place!

There’s probably nothing else like it within a radius of several thousand kilometers! The paragliding site is located in a sheltered valley, protected from the plains winds and inclement weather by high mountain ranges. To the east and west, the valley is enclosed by the walls of the Bezengi and Baksan gorges; to the south, Mount Zinki acts as a shield; and to the north, the Rocky Range. The well-known Chegem Waterfalls are located right in a gap in the Rocky Ridge, and when driving past them toward the paragliding site, you can very often notice a sudden change in weather from cloudy to clear—most of the cloud cover is blocked by the ridge.
